How to use a BP fuel card
BP fuel cards work by providing drivers with a secure and convenient means of payment to purchase fuel and other vehicle-related expenses at participating stations.
Drivers simply fill up their vehicle as usual and pay at the kiosk with their fuel card. Unlike credit cards, there’s no interest fees. Plus, there’s no need to keep hold of receipts as each transaction is recorded and detailed in our online account management system. This makes it easier for you to track fuel consumption and generate detailed reports, so you can conveniently reclaim VAT.
BP fuel card locations
BP fuel cards are accepted at over 1,200 sites across the UK, including all BP petrol stations, even those on the motorway. To provide drivers with more flexibility, the BP Flexi card have a wider network which includes hundreds of third-party sites. This allows you to refuel at Esso, Texaco, and Gulf sites nationwide.
The BP Bunker card is perfect for HGV drivers as it can be used at over 600 bunker sites. These have high-speed pumps, high canopies, and wider turning circles, plus they’re conveniently located on or near the motorway.
Drivers can use our site locator to find participating stations and plan routes, helping to prevent unnecessary detours.
The BP Fuel and Charge card offers EV drivers extensive coverage of public charging points. You can recharge at over 12,000 charge points which includes BP Pulse and Osprey. With BP, you’re never more than 5 miles from a rapid or ultra-rapid charger (accurate for 70% of Great Britain).

Managing your BP fuel card
If you operate a large fleet, or have vehicles with different fuel types, then simplifying fuel management is vital. BP fuel cards offer many benefits and allow businesses to accurately track and report on their fuel expenditure. You can manage your fuel card effectively through our online account management system which is available 24/7.
Through this system, you can access detailed reports on your card usage and driver behaviour. This allows you to monitor all fuel payments by card, driver, or vehicle which prevents any misuse. To keep your fuel cards secure, you can implement spending limits and product restrictions.
You’re also entitled to fraud protection (up to a maximum of £5000 per account), saving you from paying out for fraudulent transactions. This is automatic and is active as soon as you open an account with us.
